In the summer of 2023, I worked as the communication design intern for Pashek + MTR, a landscape architecture & urban planning firm. While there, I developed brand identities for various (re)development projects, built websites for community members to provide feedback and receive project updates, and designed around half a dozen 100+ page document reports.
I developed brand identities for a couple of projects, some of which already had a little bit of marketing design that I built off of, and some of which I created entirely from scratch. Both provided fun challenges! For each of these identities, I created a corresponding website.
For projects that were further along in the process—closer to finished—I instead developed document reports. Each report is a highly designed booklet of over 100 pages, and highlights the issues and solutions that a plan includes. With these, there were already various marketing assets that had been designed, but were not very consistent or refined. I started with those assets and distilled them into a visual style that would work across the booklet and still connect to previous assets.
